An incredible experience with exceptionally smooth service — without a doubt, the best migration agency I’ve ever come across! From the very beginning, Nicholas and Katherine have been absolutely amazing. Their professionalism, patience, and clear communication made the entire process stress-free and easy to understand. They were always available to answer my questions and kept me informed at every stage of my visa journey. I’m beyond thrilled and deeply grateful that my sponsorship has been granted! This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and support of the 123 Migration team. Their guidance gave me confidence and peace of mind throughout the process. I truly can’t thank them enough for their hard work and genuine care. They don’t just process visas; they help people achieve their dreams.Posted on Google laura ramirezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After facing a possible cancellation of my visa due to my own mistake, I reached out to several lawyers for advice, and most told me it was a lost case. Luckily, a friend recommended Nicholas and I can’t thank him enough for his empathy, dedication, and all the effort he put into my case. Thanks to his support, my visa was finally granted. Beyond his professionalism, Nicholas gave me hope and positivity throughout a very stressful process. I’m truly grateful for everything he did. Thank you again, Nicholas!Posted on Google Valentina HRTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nicholas and Katherine have been incredibly supportive throughout my journey. I first started my process with them in 2023, when they helped me apply for a graduate visa. After that, we began exploring pathways to obtain PR. Nicholas was excellent at presenting realistic options, he was honest, direct, and communicated everything clearly. His time management was also impressive. Katherine was also very helpful and efficient, especially when it came to preparing and reviewing documents to ensure everything was in order. They also supported me with my Skilled Visa application, and today, after 8 years in Australia and two years of working alongside with them, I received my Australian Permanent Residency! Thank you guys. Muchas gracias! Plus they speak both English and Spanish.Posted on Google Cyndi Tatiana Sandoval SandovalTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Which 482 Stream is Right for You?
- Target: Most skilled occupations (Core Skills List).
- Requirement: 1 Year relevant experience and Appropriate Skills Level as outlined in ANZSCO
- Target: High earners (Occupation is less specific).
- Income: Minimum $141,210 + Super.
- Requirement: 1 Year relevant experience and Appropriate Skills Level as outlined in ANZSCO
- Target: Niche or Regional roles (e.g., DAMA).
- Details: Terms are negotiated per agreement (Age/English concessions may apply).
The "One Year Experience" Trap
Many applicants believe 1 year of experience is always enough. However, if you do not hold a relevant qualification (like a degree or diploma), you may need significantly more experience to substitute for the lack of formal education.
Key Insight
We assess your specific mix of qualifications and work history to ensure you meet the "Skill Level" requirement before you apply.
How the Application Works
Step 1: Sponsorship (The Employer)
The business registers to become a Standard Business Sponsor.
Step 2: Nomination (The Position)
The business nominates you for a genuine position. They may need to prove the salary is market rate.
Step 3: Visa Application (You)
You prove your skills, health, and character.
Did you know? Unless it is a Labour Agreement, we can lodge the Sponsorship, Nomination, and Visa application on the same day to speed up the process.
180-Day Worker Mobility (The "Safety Net")
Gone are the days of being trapped with one employer. If you resign or your employment ends, you now have a 180-day grace period to find a new sponsor.
- Work for Anyone
Crucially, you have full work rights during this break. You can work for any employer (even outside your nominated occupation) to support yourself while you secure your next sponsorship nomination.
- The Limit
You can use this flexibility for up to 180 days at a time, with a maximum of 365 days total across the entire life of your visa.
Your Clear Pathway to Permanent Residency: The 186 TRT Stream
Great news for skilled workers: The pathway to PR is faster. Most 482 visa holders can now transition to the Subclass 186 Employer Nomination Scheme after working for their sponsor for just two years (reduced from three).
How the Transition Works
1. Work for 2 Years
Work full-time for your sponsoring employer in Australia while holding your 482 visa.
2. Employer Nomination
Your employer lodges a new nomination for the 186 visa, confirming the position is available for 2+ years.
3. Visa Application
You lodge the 186 visa application. Health & character checks apply, but generally no new skills assessment.
- Why TRT is Easier
Unlike Direct Entry, the TRT stream recognises your work history in Australia. This means you do not typically need a new formal skills assessment, saving time, money, and paperwork.
- Important: You Must Be Sponsored Again
The 482 visa does not automatically convert to PR. The 186 is a separate employer-sponsored visa.
At the end of your two years, your employer must agree to sponsor you again specifically for the permanent visa. You cannot self-apply.
Do You Need a Skills Assessment?
Generally, a formal skills assessment is not required for the majority of 482 applicants. However, if you are from specific countries applying for specific trade occupations, it may be mandatory. We check this immediately during our initial review to avoid “unexpected surprises.”

No BS, Just Results.
Nicholas Ivanoff founded this agency after owning restaurants and sponsoring staff. He has “seen it all” from the employer’s perspective.
