The Western Australian (WA) Government will begin re-issuing invitations in April 2022. They have received more places from the Immigration department.

Invitations Have Been On Hold in Western Australia
The WA Government had allocated all of its 1440 invitations for the 2021/2022 financial year.With no more invititations the could not continue to process applications.
However the process is now open and with an additional nomination allocation is now available. WA Migration Services will proceed with finalising State nomination applications currently on-hand and offering new invitations.
More invitations to be issued
New applications for State nomination are now being accepted, the next invitation round will be held in the first week of April 2022.
The May and June invitation rounds are expected to be held in the first week of each month.
The WA Premier asks for 5,000 invitations for 2022/23 year
Six months ago the Premier of Western Australia asked for an additional 5,000 invitations for the WA State nomination program. It seems that the Immigration Department is listening, and will allocate Western Australia more invitations in the coming year. Great news for Western Australian residents that seek to apply for an invitation in the coming year.
What now?
For those that are in the process of receiving an invitation, the waiting time will decrease and many more will receive invitations.
